If you’re not already in a faraway location or planning to be so shortly for Christmas, I’d be surprised, with the Sun in your solar ninth house of travel until the 22nd, joined by Race-Around-The-World-Already Mars until the 17th and Have-You-Got-WiFi-Mercury until the 23rd.

The urge to jump on a train, plane, boat, bus or car, see your local travel agent, spend a hour on hold calling the airline about using up your frequent flyer points or have fun researching travel deals on the net is super-strong on the 1st, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th but try not to depart or make travel bookings on the 4th, 13th (which is also the Full Moon), or 18th as you could end up with a very Fawlty Towers type resort!

At the same time you’re breaking your neck to get away, you also have to contend with juggling your career. There’s just no getting away from it with five planets in your solar tenth house of career and recognition. The Board of Directors are: the Sun as CEO of everything up from the 22nd, preceded by the office siren Venus until the 13th, bossy Mars from the 17th, office gossip Mercury from the 23rd, and Pluto, who always seems suspiciously like he’s The Godfather, making you offers you can’t refuse until the 27th. Typical Pisceans like to stay quietly in the background – actually, a lot of them really like to stay in the bar or TAB – so having this much attention on your reputation, what you’ve achieved, your professional standing, and your future career path tends to make you squirm, especially on the 3rd when your boss or client could be very difficult to please.

A kind-hearted soul may offer you a magical opportunity on the 5th while the 12th could be intense with Venus making its last-ever conjunction to Pluto in your tenth house for the next 240 years. A simmering work romance could boil over or you could be offered the Pyrrhic victory of the super-important role you’ve always wanted – after you gave up wanting it – or one which would take you away from your loved ones. Use the 25th to network with industry VIPs, launch important projects and to Get Yourself Out There.

On a final note, you can look forward to some wonderful moments with your mates, thanks to Venus entering your solar eleventh house of friends and group activities on the 13th, joined by Pluto from the 27th and Jupiter there until 7th January 2009. With Pluto here your circle of friends may well not be the same in about 16 years’ time – and you might find yourself befriending a weird and wonderful array of powerbrokers (the establishment and Underbelly kind), Scorpios, sexpots, and other faintly scary types. Beautiful dates to throw a memorable dinner party include the 28th and 30th while the 13th and 21st point to you meeting fun AND influential people who will add you happily to their posse.
