November 2008 forecast

It’s time to dust off the punch bowls, polish the Splayds and find those little cocktail swizzle sticks you love so much. With the Sun in your solar fourth house of home and family until the 22nd, joined by Mars until the 17th and Mercury until the 23rd, you’ll be burning up a lot of physical, mental and social energy on home-related matters in anticipation of your annual Christmas Festival you tend to host at your place.

Finish off some much-needed household repairs by booking the necessary tradies, interview potential flatmates, go house-snooping (sorry hunting) if you want to upgrade your abode, check your latest dream renovation plans with your architect, trawl homewares shops for cute accessories or invite your family round for bonding sessions on the 1st, 10th, 11th, 16th and 17th. However, your family could create confusion in relation to your partner on the 4th, 13th (which is also the Full Moon just to make it extra fun), and 18th.

November is also annual Goof Off time with the Sun entering your solar fifth house of love and creativity on the 22nd, preceded by Venus until the 13th, Mars from the 17th, Mercury from the 23rd and Pluto until the 27th. This period has a lot of extra oomph thanks to Pluto departing this House of Fun forever in this lifetime (unless you’re immortal) for the somewhat more earnest confines of your sixth house of work and health until 2024 (yes, you did read that correctly). With an amazing five planets here at various times throughout November, you are likely to remember this month as one in which you fell in love (if single) or again (if you’re married), got yourself or your partner up the duff, or really connected in a profound way with your (inner) child(ren).

It is also amazing for galvanising you to enjoy life. Carpe diem! If you’ve been too work-focused, you’ll realise how important it is to simply be in the moment with good friends and family. Love is absolutely magic on the 5th, incredibly soul-deep on the 12th, warm on the 25th, and if you’re still looking, the New Moon of the 28th ushers in a four-week period to find someone special. The only fly in the romantic ointment (which sounds like a late-night TV commercial) is the 3rd where money matters could ruin the fun.

Venus then puts on her sexy Sarah Palin outfit (glasses, librarian, hair up) as she moves into your solar sixth house of work and health on the 13th, joined by Pluto on the 27th and Jupiter until 7th January 2009.
